Archaeological Park of the Caves of Caratabia

Dating back to the 6th century B.C., the two rocky environments have a rectangular floor plan.

The first consists of two rooms, one larger and one smaller, while the second is a single room.

The graffiti that decorate them, which are of excellent quality, depict scenes of wild boar and deer hunting, knights and horses with their heads covered by helmets and other stylised animals.

It has been suggested that the caves may have been used as tombs for the important personalities of the ancient Sicels.
