“Corrado Tamburino Merlini” Civic Museum

Dedicated to the historian and archaeologist of Mineo, Corrado Tamburino Merlini, it is divided into a historical trail, from the Neolithic to the Middle Ages, and a topographical trail, according to the different sites where the finds have been found.

Among the objects on display are transport amphorae, epigraphs, finds from a Byzantine basilica and a castle, but above all finds from excavations carried out by the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage of Catania in the areas of Camuti, Monte Catalfaro, Sant’Ippolito, Sette Feudi, Porta Udienza, Favarotta, Piano Casazze.
