Ganzaria Museum

Inaugurated in 2003, the museum is housed in a 19th-century building, originally the home of the notary Traversa, later used as a primary school, then as an employment office and a Carabinieri barracks, to be transformed into a museum by the architect Giambattista Nicastro.

The museum, spread over three floors, collects and preserves artefacts of archaeological, ethnological and anthropological interest, as well as historical and cultural testimonies of the local community.

The most interesting finds are those from the Late Antique, Byzantine and Arab-Norman periods.
