Located in the beautiful baroque Trao-Ventimiglia Palace, the House of Memory and Arts is a multi-museum complex on Vizzini’s history, divided into different sections, among which the Museum of Verga’s Imagination stands out, which collects photographs taken by the writer, as well as his cameras and other equipment.
Some rooms are dedicated to the representation of Vizzini in cinematographic works, especially films inspired by Verga’s works, and in theatrical works staged by great actors and directors.
A section is dedicated to the “Cavalleria rusticana” an opera by the composer Pietro Mascagni.
It also houses the Ethno-anthropological Museum, which collects the tools of local craftsmen, farmers and shepherds dating back to the early 20th century.
